If you don’t already know I’m avid reader. I’m huge supporter of the belief that the answers to all of life’s problems are hidden within books. After all books or should I say the ideas within then have helped to shape me into the person I am today. I mostly read books related to business and personal growth but I’ve also read books related to relationships, network marketing, self-talk, money, investing and more! At the moment I try to read about 3 books a month increasing that goal by 1 book a year and so far I’ve made good on that goal.
I’ll be honest…
Not every book on this list is great. Some books have been terrible BUT there are very few in the list that I have not enjoyed. My top 10 personal favorites are on my resource page which should be easy enough to find. My goal is to one day have a nice sized personal library and I’m well on my way as you’ll see in a sec. I don’t own physical copies of every book I do have a lot of theses as Audiobooks but I’m slowly collecting the physical copies as well. If you have questions about any book feel free to shoot me an email or find me on Facebook. Other than that behold the greatness that is my ever growing book collection below:
If physical books aren’t your style I have a couple solutions for you!
First is my favorite, AUDIOBOOKS! I like audios because they give me more mobility than a physical book. With a book I have to always have it in hand or on a stand to read. I also have to keep my eyes trained on the book because how else can you read words? Audios allow me to multitask. I can go to the gym (though not likely) and learn while I get fit. Audios make my commute to and from work more valuable whereas I would normally listen to music I can instead get educated. Same thing with my time spent cleaning around the house or even showing. Audio haters will tell you that you get more from reading a book because you’re focused but then how is it you can memorize all you favorite songs? My point is focus isn’t a problem of the medium but moreso the person. If you focus on an audio you can learn just as much and in a faster time usually.
Personally I use the subscription service Audible. Its an Amazon company and they have a huge selection of books. Best part is its not strictly personal development books. You can get 1-2 books a month just by paying the monthly fee (starting at $14.95 per month) or you can buy audio books at a discount whenever you want. They have virtually every type of book you can think of accept maybe picture books, encyclopedias and so on. They have a super convenient app so you can listen from your phone or whatever smart devices you carry around on the day to day. Anyway you can check it out for FREE below!
If Audiobooks aren’t your style BUT you still don’t want a physical book what about e-Readers? I’m not a huge fan of e-Readers however they are super useful. One time I was reading a library book to my daughter when I got to a page that had been torn out. So I jumped on my phone went over to Amazon and bought the e-book version and finished that chapter (and eventually the rest of the book) on my tablet. Lots of books these days can be purchased for much cheaper in their electronic form. Add that to the fact that you literally just download the book so you don’t have to wait for shipping.
You can do this two ways. You can buy individual e-books or you can sign up for Kindle Unlimited. Kindle Unlimited is another subscription service from Amazon with a twist. Instead of you having to pay for each individual book you just pay the monthly subscription ($9.99) and you can read as many books as you want! That’s a sweet deal for you if you love to read. Plus you save HELLA money pretty quickly. Sometimes I wish I loved eBooks so I could take advantage but unfortunately listening is my go to. Check it out below!
